Inks tender with Vikings
Joseph signed his one-year contract tender with Minnesota on Monday, his agent Brett Tessler reports.
Analysis: Joseph was solid in 2021, when he converted a career-high 87 percent of his field-goal attempts across 17 games with the Vikings. The 27-year-old currently is the only kicker on Minnesota's roster, and he can be considered the clear favorite to begin the 2022 season as the starter, though another option realistically could be added at the position when offseason workouts ramp up.

Being tendered by Vikings
Minnesota will tender Joseph at the right of first refusal number of $2.4 million, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: The Vikings will have the right to match any offer made to Joseph by another team. The 27-year-old is coming off a career year, having converted 33 of 38 field-goal attempts and 36 of 40 field-goal tries across 17 games last season. He was successful on seven of nine attempts from 50-plus yards out.

Ends season with perfect outing
Joseph made his only field-goal attempt and all four of his extra-point tries during Week 18's 31-17 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Joesph connected on 33-of-38 field-goal attempts and 36-of-40 PATs during the 2021 campaign, which was by far his most productive season of his three-year career. The 27-year-old is set to be a free agent this offseason, but the Vikings will likely want to keep him around given their recent history with inconsistent kickers.

Converts 51-yard cold field goal
Joseph converted his only field-goal attempt from 51 yards and made his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's loss at Green Bay.
Analysis: Joseph's 51-yard field goal in 10-degree weather (the longest in January in Lambeau Field history) may have been Minnesota's lone highlight on offense. Joseph should get more opportunities Week 18 against Chicago.

Doesn't miss in loss
Joseph made all three of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Minnesota failed to move the ball after intercepting Matthew Stafford deep in Rams' territory, so Joseph opened the scoring for the Vikings with a 23-yard chip shot late in the second quarter. He added a 24-yard field goal to cap off a 12-play, 83-yard drive late in the third quarter. Joseph's third field goal came from 44 yards out with 32 seconds left in the fourth quarter, as Mike Zimmer opted to make it a one-score game and roll the dice with an onside kick. Perfect in Monday night win
Joseph converted his only field-goal attempt and both extra-point tries during Monday's divisional win over the Bears.
Analysis: Joseph had attempted a combined seven field goals in his last two appearances, so it was disappointing for fantasy purposes to see him contained by a low-scoring affair versus Chicago. He will get a chance to bounce back against a solid Rams defense Week 16.

Misses two kicks
Joseph missed one of four field-goal attempts and one of four extra-point tries in Week 14's 36-28 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Joseph began by sending a 53-yard effort wide left before missing his first PAT as well. After that, however, he dialed in, converting from 38, 42 and 25 yards on his field goals. With three extra points too, Joseph put together his fifth performance with double-figure points this season. Now sporting 108 points overall, Joseph is tied for third in scoring among kickers league-wide.

Drills three FGs in loss
Joseph made all three of his field-goal attempts during Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Lions.
Analysis: Joseph kicked all three of his field goals before Minnesota reached the end zone halfway through the third quarter, and the offense attempted two-point conversions after all three touchdowns. The 27-year-old missed extra-point tries in each of the previous two contests, but he's been reliable overall while going 24-for-27 on PATs and 24-for-28 on field-goal attempts in 12 games.

Quiet in loss
Joseph converted two of three extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Joseph made a pair of extra-point tries in the first half of Sunday's loss, but he missed an extra-point attempt wide right during the third quarter. Sunday's game marked the second time this season that the 27-year-old didn't attempt any field goals, and he's now converted all eight of his field-goal attempts while making 12 of 14 extra-point tries across the last five games.

Kicks game-winning FG
Joseph converted both field-goal attempts, including a 29-yard game-winning kick as time expired, in Sunday's win over Green Bay. He made two of three extra-point attempts.
Analysis: Joseph also converted a 51-yard field-goal attempt. He's been on a roll lately, making all eight field-goal attempts in his last four games. He's missed two extra-points attempts this season (22-for-24).

Converts all five kicks
Joseph converted both field-goal attempts from 30 and 45 yards and made all three extra-point attempts in Sunday's win at the Chargers.
Analysis: After missing a few long kicks earlier in the season, Joseph has made all six field-goal attempts in his last three games. He's also missed just one extra-point attempt all season (20-for-21).

Converts all five kicks
Joseph converted his only field-goal attempt from 36 yards and made all four extra-point tries in Sunday's overtime loss at Baltimore.
Analysis: Joseph has made 11 of 14 field-goal attempts the last three games with misses from 47, 50 and 49 yards. He's had some big makes and misses at the end of games this season, but generally looks to have solid job security for the time being.

Converts all four kicks
Joseph made all three field-goal attempts from 45, 40 and 24 yards and his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's loss to Dallas.
Analysis: Joseph has made 10 of 13 field-goal attempts the last three games with misses from 47, 50 and 49 yards. He's eight of 11 from 40 yards or more, but should keep his job if he continues to make the easier attempts. He's eight of nine from under 40 yards and has converted 13 of 14 extra-point attempts.

Misses two late key FGs
Joseph converted three of five field-goal attempts and his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's win at Carolina. Despite missing a 47-yard attempt at the end of regulation that would have won the game and a 50-yard attempt with seven minutes left in regulation, head coach Mike Zimmer wasn't overly concerned. "Kicking into that wind, and I knew those two were right on the edge, that he missed, I think," Zimmer told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "But he's done a good job. I don't fault him for those."
Analysis: Joseph has seemingly been at the center of every game for the Vikings with a miss as time expired in a loss to Arizona, a made field goal as time expired to win over Detroit and a field goal as time expired to send the game into overtime at Cincinnati. It appears that, so far, the misses haven't put his job in jeopardy.

Makes 54-yard game winner
Joseph converted a 54-yard field goal as time expired to give Minnesota a win over Detroit on Sunday. He also made field goals from 38, 38, 55 and 54 yards but missed from 49 yards, and he converted his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's win over Detroit.
Analysis: While Joseph missed a potential game-winning 37-yard field goal as time expired in a loss to Arizona, he's also converted long field goals at the buzzer against Detroit and Cincinnati. As a result, he should have a decent hold on the job despite head coach Mike Zimmer's fickle ways with kickers.

Converts PAT in loss
Joseph made his only extra-point attempt during Sunday's 14-7 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: The Vikings offense put together only one scoring drive Sunday, and Joseph's only opportunity came on a PAT. It's been hit or miss for Joseph through four games, as he attempted six field goals and seven extra points across Weeks 2 and 3, but between the season opener and Sunday's game he had only one field-goal attempt and four PATs.

Cleared for action in Week 4
Joseph (hip) isn't listed on the injury report heading into Sunday's game against the Browns.
Analysis: Joseph was limited in practice Thursday but should suit up against Cleveland. He has missed only once on seven field-goal attempts this season, but it was a costly one, as Joseph's misfire from 37 yards out on the game's final play led to Minnesota's 34-33 Week 2 loss to Arizona.

Logs limited practice
Joseph (hip) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Joseph has connected on six of seven field-goal attempts, including all three tries from beyond 50 yards, through three games. The Vikings don't seem to think this injury is a big deal, as they haven't signed a backup kicker to the practice squad. The Vikings play the Browns at home Sunday.

Converts all three FG attempts
Joseph converted all three field-goal attempts, from 43, 34 and 20 yards, along with all three extra-point attempts, in Sunday's win over Seattle.
Analysis: Joseph bounced back after missing a potential game-winning 37-yard field goal as time expired in Sunday's loss to Arizona. Head coach Mike Zimmer gave Joseph a vote of confidence after that miss, but it's still good to see him have a perfect game for his job security.

Misses game-winning FG
Joseph converted two field-goal attempts from 52 yards but missed a potential game-winning 37-yard field goal as time expired in Sunday's loss to Arizona. He also missed an extra-point attempt.
Analysis: While Joseph missed the most important field-goal attempt of the game, his job may not be in jeopardy despite coach Mike Zimmer's propensity for switching kickers. Joseph did make two 50-yard plus field goals in Week 2 and made a game-tying 53-yard field goal at the end of regulation in Week 1. Still, a few more misses on easy field-goal and extra-point attempts and the Vikings could look for another placekicker.

Converts clutch 53-yard field goal
Joseph made a 53-yard field goal at the end of regulation in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati to send the game to overtime. It was his only field-goal attempt and he also converted all three extra-point tries.
Analysis: Joseph wasn't overly impressive in the preseason, so converting a clutch long kick likely buys him some job security given head coach Mike Zimmer's propensity for switching kickers.

Looks set as starter
Joseph looks set to begin the season as Minnesota's placekicker after Riley Patterson was waived/injured by the Vikings on Monday.
Analysis: It's possible the Vikings could sign another kicker before the regular season, but for now, Joseph is the clear starter after converting both field-goal attempts in Saturday's preseason game.

Makes both field goals
Joseph made both of his field-goal attempts, from 34 and 25 yards, in Saturday's preseason loss to Denver.
Analysis: The Vikings let Joseph handle kicking duties in the preseason opener. Riley Patterson is likely to handle duties in the second preseason game as the two battle for the starting job. Joseph is viewed as the favorite and held serve Saturday.

Signs in Minnesota
Joseph signed with the Vikings on Tuesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Joseph spent the 2020 season on the Buccaneers' practice squad. Now, he'll compete with Dan Bailey -- who missed seven field goals and six extra points last year -- for the Vikings' starting kicker role in 2021. The 26-year-old has suited up for 16 career NFL games, connecting on 17 of 20 field-goal attempts (85 percent) and 34 of 38 extra-point tries (89 percent).

Goes back to practice squad
Joseph reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Analysis: Joseph was available for Week 15, but he ultimately did not suit up for a win against the Falcons. Ryan Succop emerged from the reserve/COVID-19 list last Friday, reclaiming his starting kicking duties while knocking down a 27-yard field-goal attempt and going 4-for-4 on PATs.

Won't suit up against Falcons
Joseph (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Analysis: The 26-year-old was elevated to the Buccaneers' active roster Friday, with Ryan Succop being forced to miss practice throughout the week while residing on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Succop has been cleared for Sunday's intradivisional clash, however, keeping Joseph without a game appearance in 2020. The Florida Atlantic product last suited up for the Titans in 2019, knocking down all nine of his point-after attempts during his two games with the team.

Jumps to active roster
The Buccaneers elevated Joseph to the active roster Friday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Buccaneers activated starting kicker Ryan Succop from the COVID-19 list, but they are calling up Joseph as an insurance policy. It's worth keeping an eye on whether Succop is a late scratch for Sunday's game versus the Falcons, in which case Joseph would bump into a starting role. Over 16 NFL games, Joseph has connected on 17 of 20 field-goal attempts (85 percent).

Joining Buccaneers' practice squad
Joseph is slated to sign with Tampa Bay's practice squad, NFL agent Brett Tessler reports.
Analysis: Joseph started 14 games with the Browns in 2018 and had two appearances with the Titans last season. He'll now serve an emergency role on Tampa Bay's practice squad, where he could be called upon for action if Ryan Succop ends up missing any time.

Waived by Tennessee
The Titans waived Joseph on Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Early reports from training camp suggested Joseph was winning his kicker battle with undrafted rookie Tucker McCann. Regardless, it's McCann who still has a roster spot after the team brought in Stephen Gostkowski to handle the job. Joseph should be near the top of the list for any team that runs into kicker issues this season.

Leg up in competition
Joseph has looked much better than rookie Tucker McCann in practices thus far, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
Analysis: Joseph was brought back by the Titans after making his only field-goal attempt for them last season. Although the team signed McCann to compete with him in advance of the regular season, it sounds like Joseph is ahead by a comfortable margin at this stage, giving him the inside track for the job.

Competition on the way
General manager Jon Robinson suggested Wednesday that the Titans plan to bring in some competition for Joseph, who finished the 2019 campaign as the team's kicker, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
Analysis: Robinson acknowledged that Joseph did a good job of "steadying the rudder" after he took over kicking duties last December, but the Titans won't hand him the job outright heading into 2020. Specifically, Robinson mentioned that the Titans are still "looking at some guys" in free agency and the upcoming draft. The 25-year-old appeared in five games with Tennessee (including the playoffs) last season, making his only field-goal attempt and converting all 18 of his extra point tries in that span.

Limited chances in playoffs
Joseph converted his lone field-goal attempt and all nine extra-point attempts over three postseason games.
Analysis: The field goal was a chip shot from 30 yards during the loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, as the Titans finished drives throughout their run as the No. 6 seed. It was similar to Joseph's output in two regular-season games with Tennessee, as he made all nine extra points and didn't attempt a field goal. Nails five extra-point attempts
Joseph made all five of his extra-point attempts in the team's Week 17 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Joseph has yet to be called upon for a field-goal attempt in two games with the team. However, he has proven steady with the chances he has received by making all nine of his extra-point attempts. Joseph took over for the injured Ryan Succop (knee) in Week 16 and will likely continue in his role throughout Tennessee's playoff run. Joseph signed a three-year deal when he joined the team, so he'll likely have a chance to be the placekicker in 2020.

Perfect in debut
Joseph made all four of his extra-point attempts in the team's Week 16 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Joseph wasn't tested in particularly difficult fashion, as he wasn't asked to attempt a field goal in his debut with the team. However, he did make all four of his extra-point attempts, eliminating mistakes in the kicking game that had plagued the Titans for much of the season. With Ryan Succop (knee) on injured reserve, Joseph is likely to serve as the team's kicker in Week 17 against the Texans.

Taking over as top kicker
Joseph is on track to serve as Tennessee's placekicker for the remainder of the season after the team placed Ryan Succop (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Analysis: After being signed off the Panthers' practice squad earlier Wednesday, Joseph is slated to debut with his new team Week 16 against the Saints. Joseph converted 17 of 20 field-goal attempts (85 percent) last season with the Browns, but he made just one kick from 50-plus yards and missed four PATs.

Replacing Succop in Tennessee?
Joseph agreed Wednesday to a contract with the Titans, John Glennon of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Poached from Carolina's practice squad, Joseph could get a chance to kick for Tennessee as soon as Week 16. Titans placekicker Ryan Succop has converted just one of six field-goal attempts since the team activated him from injured reserve in early November, seemingly putting his job in jeopardy. However, it isn't entirely clear if Joseph is coming in as kickoff specialist to replace the departed Ryan Santoso or if he's a legitimate threat to Succop's job.

Heading to Carolina
Joseph signed with the Panthers' practice squad Monday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Joey Slye missed a 28-yard field goal and a pair of extra points during Sunday's three-point loss to the Saints, leading the Panthers to explore available options at kicker. Joseph went 17-for-20 on field goals and 25-for-29 on extra points with the Browns in 2018, and he could make his way to the 53-man roster if Slye continues to struggle.
