Not expected to play Saturday
Pringle (quad) is unlikely play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Chiefs, Alyssa Barbieri of USA Today reports.
Analysis: This was expected as coach Matt Eberflus previous stated that he hopes to see Pringle at some point this preseason after the receiver was reported to have injured his quadriceps on August 6.

Could miss time due to quad injury
Pringle is dealing with a quadriceps injury that could keep him out for a while, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Head coach Matt Eberflus is "hopeful" the former Chiefs wideout will play at some point this preseason, which should indicate the severity of the injury. The Bears also lost N'Keal Harry to a possibly serious leg injury in Saturday's practice, while 2022 third-round pick Velus Jones sat out with an undisclosed injury. The dizzying number of injuries to Bears pass catchers leaves just Darnell Mooney and Equanimeous St. Brown as the only two healthy bodies among the projected top five wideouts.

Arrested in traffic incident
Pringle was arrested in Florida on Saturday and charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Pringle, who joined the Bears on a one-year, $4.125 million deal earlier this offseason, was pulled over by Florida Highway Patrol after he was allegedly doing donuts with his vehicle on a public road, according to the police report. It's unclear if Pringle will face any discipline from the league as a result of the incident, but any decision on that front likely wouldn't be made until the legal process concludes. New home in Chicago
The Bears and Pringle agreed to a contract Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: As often happens following coach or general manager hirings, new GM Ryan Poles is bringing a player from his previous team to his new one. Pringle is on the heels of his best campaign by a long shot, as he reeled in 42 of 60 passes for 568 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games with the Chiefs last season. He'll slot in as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Darnell Mooney for the time being in Chicago.

Targeted seven times in win
Pringle reeled in five of his seven targets for 29 yards and a touchdown Sunday in Kansas City's 42-36 overtime win over the Bills in the divisional round.
Analysis: Though Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce remain the clear No. 1 and 2 options in the passing game, Pringle has moved ahead of fellow wideouts Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson and any of the Kansas City running backs as the preferred No. 3 target. Dating back to Week 18, Pringle has drawn no fewer than seven targets in any of the last three contests, cobbling together a 15-122-3 receiving line during that stretch.

Emerges as receiving threat in 2021
Pringle compiled five catches for 56 yards on eight targets Saturday against the Broncos to give him 42 grabs for 568 yards and five scores during the 2021 regular season.
Analysis: Pringle's preseason performance seemed to position him for an impactful role in 2021, but that didn't materialize until the second half of the season. Pringle really saw his involvement expand down the stretch, racking up 17 catches over the last four games after averaging just 1.9 per contest over the first 13 games. A strong showing in the playoffs could net him a hefty pay raise this offseason as an impending unrestricted free agent.

Snares three passes
Pringle recorded three receptions for 35 yards on four targets during Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Analysis: Pringle did see a slight dip in his playing time in this contest, login just 50 percent of the offensive snaps compared to 60-plus percent in three of the last four games. He was unable to follow up his breakout effort against the Steelers with a similar showing Sunday and shouldn't be counted on to consistently do so.

Leads team in receiving production
Pringle caught six passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
Analysis: Pringle stepped up on a day in which the Chiefs were without Travis Kelce (illness) and lead receiver Tyreek Hill played with no practice,. Pringle helped anchor a strong game for Patrick Mahomes (23 of 30 for 258 yards and three touchdowns) as the Chiefs easily put away the Steelers. Kelce should be back for Week 17's game against the Bengals and Hill will almost certainly get more practice time to prepare, but Pringle might have established himself as the Chiefs' third-leading pass catcher…read more

More involved versus Chargers
Pringle reeled in three of his four targets for 22 yards during Thursday's game versus the Steelers.
Analysis: Pringle finished with just one catch in each of the previous three games, so his added involvement on offense Thursday is a good sign as the regular season begins to wind down. That being said, he turned those three grabs into just 22 yards, and there isn't enough consistent volume to make him a viable asset in most fantasy leagues at this point.

Tallies one catch versus Raiders
Pringle reeled in just one pass for 28 yards on his lone target Sunday versus the Raiders.
Analysis: Pringle has just one grab in each of the team's last three games despite seeing a recent uptick in offensive snaps. Even if his trend of playing time continues, Pringle doesn't seem to garner enough looks in the passing attack to warrant a roster spot in most fantasy leagues at this point.

Draws four targets in win
Pringle recorded one reception for 14 yards on four targets Sunday in the Chiefs' 22-9 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: Pringle played 70 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in the contest, good for his largest share of the season. The uptick in reps didn't translate into much meaningful production, however, as the Kansas City aerial attack continues to prioritize Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill above all else. The likes of Pringle, Mecole Hardman, Josh Gordon and Demarcus Robinson can't be counted on to deliver fantasy-friendly performances on a weekly basis.

Catches one pass
Pringle secured one of two targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Pringle played 59 percent of the team's offensive snaps, second to only Tyreek Hill among Kansas City receivers. The Chiefs offense didn't get much going through the air Sunday, and Pringle's 37-yard grab was the team's longest play of the day. The veteran wideout enters the team's Week 12 bye with a total of 23 catches, 338 yards and three touchdowns on the campaign.

Plays season-high snap count
Pringle reeled in four of his five targets for 46 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Raiders.
Analysis: What's more encouraging yet for Pringle is that he saw a season-high 45 snaps (60 percent) in the contest, playing more than Mecole Hardman on the night. If this is a sign of things to come, Pringle could be in line for additional looks in the passing game moving forward. It's also possible Hardman just fell into the doghouse after another drop, but Pringle performed reasonably well in his expanded role, so he could have a chance at more reps in future weeks.

Held without target
Pringle was not targeted in Sunday's game against the Packers.
Analysis: Pringle saw a slight dip from 53 to 44 percent in offensive snap share, sitting in the same range as it has been for the last four games. Pringle has a pair of touchdowns on the season, but has logged two or fewer catches in all but a pair of games thus far. He's still unreliable as a fantasy option, but he could sneak his way into the conversation on occasion.

No. 2 in snap count at WR on Monday
Pringle finished with just one catch for 12 yards on two targets Monday versus the Giants.
Analysis: Pringle finished the game without multiple catches for the first time since Week 1, which is odd considering he saw a season-high 53 percent snap share in the contest. If that trend continues in future weeks, there is a chance we see a spike in Pringle's production.

Leads way in receiving yards
Pringle recorded five receptions on six targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: Pringle saw only six targets compared to 12 for Travis Kelce and nine for Tyreek Hill. Even so, he led the team in receiving yards, which was also a new season high. Pringle chipped in a number of explosive plays, including receptions of 25, 23 and 12 yards. Despite the strong performance, Pringle has managed three or fewer targets in six of seven games this season, so his production moving forward is likely to be inconsistent at best.

Tallies season-high three grabs
Pringle reeled in all three of his targets for 55 yards during Sunday's game versus Washington.
Analysis: Pringle has drawn three or more targets just one other time this season and has finished with more than 25 receiving yards just twice all season. He did see a season-high 40 percent of the offensive snaps this week but can't be counted on to put up consistent numbers going forward.

Notches second score of season
Pringle hauled in both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Bills.
Analysis: Pringle made the most of his 25 snaps in the contest, playing a higher snap percentage than usual, likely due to the Chiefs trailing for much of the game. His opportunities may continue to wane as Josh Gordon become more familiar with the Kansas City playbook.

Nabs pair of passes
Pringle reeled in both of his targets for 23 yards Sunday against the Bills.
Analysis: Pringle still played just 25 percent of the snaps on offense in Week 4 and figures to see his count continue to fall with the news that Josh Gordon has been promoted to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills. Pringle is still a contributor on special teams as a kick returner but seems to be creeping further away from the fantasy radar.

Garners season-high six targets
Pringle reeled in two of his season-high six targets for 12 yards Sunday against the Chargers.
Analysis: While the bad news was that Pringle couldn't turn his six targets into any real production, the good news is he finished with a season-high mark in targets and offensive snap share (38 percent). However, that was likely due, in part, to the Chiefs trailing entering the second half and turning a bit more pass-heavy with the offensive approach, affording more opportunities to wideouts overall. Scores first TD of season
Pringle notched a pair of catches for 63 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Ravens.
Analysis: Pringle made the most of his 11 offensive snaps Sunday, drawing two targets on the day and turning them into a productive showing overall. However, his 22 percent snap share indicates his position on the depth chart hasn't changed, so it's unlikely he will see this sort of output on a weekly basis barring an upswing in playing time.

Snares one of two targets
Pringle reeled in one of his two targets for six yards in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Pringle logged just 11 offensive snaps compared to Demarcus Robinson's 48 and Mecole Hardman's 45, placing him well behind both in the pecking order for offensive looks. He's likely the next man up to join that group should any of them miss time but seems unlikely to garner enough offensive attention to warrant fantasy consideration at this point.

Listed as second-string wideout
Pringle slots in as the backup wideout behind Tyreek Hill on the Chiefs' unofficial Week 1 depth chart, Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41 News reports.
Analysis: Pringle flashed multiple times during camp and the preseason and has his name in the conversation for some reps. That said, Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman still hold the top two spots on the depth chart and Demarcus Robinson still figures to be part of the mix, so Pringle's upside remains rather limited as long as the other wideout options remain healthy.

Challenging for No. 2 WR role?
Pringle has been the most consistent receiver in camp outside of Tyreek Hill and could be carving out a significant role in the offense, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Pringle displayed his promise again in the second preseason tilt Friday against the Cardinals, leading all Chiefs receivers with four catches for 63 yards. Goldman notes that Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson are definitely in the mix for reps as well, but Pringle entered camp as the underdog and has continued to make a name for himself. Outplaying Robinson at camp
Pringle appears to have an early lead over Demarcus Robinson in their competition for the No. 3 receiver role, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Listed at 203 pounds, Pringle dropped to 196 this offseason in an effort to improve his speed, perhaps anticipating that he'll take over some of Robinson's deep routes from the past few seasons. Robinson has already shown that playing time doesn't necessarily lead to steady targets for him in an offense with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, but there is always upside from TDs and big plays when QB Patrick Mahomes is on the field. Pringle signed his original-round tender with the Chiefs on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Pringle will play out the 2021 campaign on a one-year deal worth $2.18 million with the Chiefs. Gets original-round tender
The Chiefs gave Pringle an original-round tender Wednesday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: The tender is a one-year contract for $2.18 million, with the Chiefs getting the right to match any offer sheet he might receive from another team. Pringle was undrafted coming out of college, so there's no compensation involved if he signs a deal with another team and the Chiefs decline to match. Pringle could be looking at a larger role in Kansas City in 2021, considering teammates Sammy Watkins and Demarcus Robinson are scheduled for free agency at the start of the new league year Wednesday.

Draws five targets in AFC title game
Pringle corralled three of five targets for 22 yards Sunday in the Chiefs' 38-24 win over the Bills in the AFC Championship Game.
Analysis: Pringle played a surprising 80 percent of the offensive snaps in the contest, his highest rate since Week 17 against the Chargers, when the Chiefs were resting several of their key offensive playmakers. Though Pringle was effective enough as a depth option at receiver, he'll likely see a major dip in his snap share in the Feb. 7 Super Bowl matchup with the Buccaneers, as the Chiefs are expected to return Sammy Watkins (calf) for that contest.

Catches touchdown Sunday
Pringle caught four of six targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-21 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Pringle grew in importance with teammates Tyreek Hill (hamstring), Sammy Watkins (calf) and Travis Kelce (rest) all not playing Sunday, and he opened the scoring with a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter. With four receptions in total, including a long of 31 yards, Pringle was able to put together his best performance of the campaign, but he should return to a depth role when Kansas City returns its full stable of offensive stars in the playoffs.

Pringle (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday after being designated to return from IR, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Kansas City has a three-week window to place Pringle back on the active roster, and the receiver could suit up as soon as Sunday's game against the Saints if he looks ready in practice. Pringle (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Pringle was not targeted during Sunday's game versus the Panthers.
Analysis: Pringle was unable to follow up a season-best three grabs for 22 yards last Sunday versus the Jets with another solid showing Sunday. Continues to see work
Pringle racked up three catches on four targets for 22 yards Sunday versus the Jets.
Analysis: Pringle has played more than 50 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the last two weeks thanks to his abilities as a blocker in the run game. That doesn't make him a viable fantasy option in most leagues, given his six receptions on the season. He should continue to provide depth at the wide receiver position but is unlikely to see significant targets unless a laundry list of injuries hits the group.

Pringle didn't catch a pass Sunday versus the Broncos but did return a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown.
Analysis: Pringle used the snowy field in Denver to his advantage, making a quick cut that left two Broncos defenders in the dust as he sped past the kicker to take it the distance. He also found his way onto the field for 61 percent of the snaps, ranking third among wideouts ahead of Mecole Hardman. Posts 12 catches in 2019

Analysis: Pringle's reception came on his only offensive snap of the game. The young WR has single-digit or no offensive snaps in five of his last six games and has just two catches for 23 yards during that span.
