Signing with Chargers
Everett is signing with the Chargers on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Everett spent the first four seasons of his career with the Rams but signed with Seattle ahead of the 2021 campaign. He appeared in 15 games for the Seahawks and hauled in 48 of 63 targets for 478 yards and four touchdowns while rushing three times for 20 yards. Everett should compete with Donald Parham for targets ahead of the 2022 campaign.

Makes one catch
Everett caught a 20-yard pass on three targets against Arizona on Sunday.
Analysis: Everett could have had a touchdown catch but didn't reel it in, and he was otherwise doomed by lack of opportunity on a day in which Russell Wilson attempted only 26 pass attempts. Everett finishes the season with 48 receptions for 478 yards and four touchdowns on 63 targets -- a catch rate of 76.2 percent at 7.6 yards per target, which is quite efficient per-target production. The volume was never really there for Everett in 2021, but that's arguably more due to the incredibly slow pace of the…read more

Catches three passes
Everett caught three passes for 36 yards on five targets against Detroit on Sunday.
Analysis: Everett had been on a bit of a surge recently, catching four passes for over 60 yards in each of the two games prior to Sunday, but wideout DK Metcalf made more noise than he had in some time against Detroit, drawing nine targets and scoring three touchdowns. If Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are both producing, it might not leave enough of a pie for Everett to post big stats, but the Seahawks will need all of their pass catchers playing sharp to hold their own against the tough Cardinals defense in…read more

Scores TD in loss
Everett caught four of five targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: On a snowy day in Seattle, Everett wound up leading the Seahawks in receiving yards as Russell Wilson didn't have much success stretching the field. The tight end's third-quarter TD gave Seattle a 24-14 lead, but the defense faltered in the fourth. Everett is finding some chemistry with Wilson late in his first season with the club, scoring three touchdowns in the last five games, giving him some fantasy appeal in a Week 17 clash with the Lions.

Leading receiver versus former team
Everett caught all four of his targets for 60 yards in Tuesday's 20-10 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Tyler Lockett was in COVID-19 protocol and sat out Tuesday's game, and Everett was able to capitalize on the extra reps, leading the Seahawks in receiving yards. Everett has had an underwhelming season with 40 receptions for 354 yards and three touchdowns, but he should have a chance to surpass his career high of 417 receiving yards over the final three games.

Seahawks-Rams moved to Tuesday
Everett and the Seahawks will no longer play the Rams on Sunday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
Analysis: Due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within the Rams organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, Los Angeles will be able to restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. After Tuesday's game, the Seahawks will face a quick turnaround for Week 16 with a Sunday matchup versus the Bears on Dec. 26.

Scores third touchdown
Everett caught both of his targets for 15 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for 13 yards in Sunday's 33-13 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Everett (35 snaps) was out-snapped by Will Dissly (39) for the first time since Week 6. Although the Seahawks won by 20 points, the game wasn't actually put away until the fourth quarter, so perhaps Everett saw fewer reps after losing two fumbles in the Week 13 win over the 49ers. Nevertheless, he scored for the third time this season. Everett will continue to be a touchdown-dependant fantasy option against the Rams -- his former team -- next week.

Notches just seven yards
Everett caught four of six targets for seven yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the 49ers.
Analysis: Everett wasn't efficient with his targets Sunday. Still, the fifth-year tight end has logged at least 75 percent of the offensive snaps in four straight games while Will Dissly hasn't handled more than 53 percent of the snaps in that stretch. It's clear who the No. 1 tight end is in Seattle. Nevertheless, Everett is averaging just 27.9 yards per game with two total touchdowns this year.

Scores in defeat
Everett caught five of nine targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 17-15 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Everett opened the scoring for Seattle with a six-yard touchdown to end the first quarter, marking his first end-zone trip since Week 1. The tight end then proceeded to lead his team in targets while tying for the most receptions, making for a busy evening. Despite the Seahawks' recent offensive struggles, Everett has now hauled in at least three passes in three straight games, giving him modest individual momentum ahead of Week 13's matchup versus the 49ers.

Makes three catches
Everett caught three passes for 37 yards on four targets against Arizona on Sunday.
Analysis: Everett was Seattle's second-leading producer of receiving yardage behind Tyler Lockett (115), so it was generally a difficult day for the Seahawks passing game. While it reflects well on Everett that he produced efficiently, the volume wasn't enough to make much of an impact. The Seattle offense hasn't made much room for tight-end pass-catching functions to this point in the year, and that's without factoring in the workload split between Everett and Will Dissly (one catch for 16 yards on…read more

Avoids Week 11 designation
Everett (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Though the groin injury prevented Everett from practicing Wednesday and Thursday, the Seahawks were comfortable enough with his health coming out of Friday's session to give him the green light for the Week 11 matchup. At least for one game, Seattle's top tight end was the main beneficiary of Russell Wilson's (finger) return from a four-week absence in last week's 17-0 loss to the Packers. Everett set new season highs in receptions (eight), receiving yards (63) and targets (eight) in that game.

Another DNP on Thursday
Everett (groin) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: With back-to-back absences to open Week 11 prep, Everett doesn't appear to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's contest against the Cardinals. Fortunately for the fifth-year pro, he has one more session to mix into individual drills (or more) before the Seahawks tab him with a designation. If Everett ends up missing his third game of the season, Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson will cover for him at tight end, while Tyler Mabry and Ryan Izzo would be candidates for elevation from the…read more

Tending to groin injury
Everett was unable to practice Wednesday due to a groin injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Aside from sitting out Weeks 4 and 5 after contracting COVID-19, Everett has been healthy this season and earned at least 70 percent of offensive snaps in five of his seven appearances with the Seahawks. The results have been hit or miss on his way to a 22-198-1 receiving line on 25 targets. Busy in loss
Everett caught eight passes on eight targets for 63 yards against Green Bay on Sunday.
Analysis: Everett wasn't explosive, but he was automatic with his targets and was the sole means of moving the chains for Seattle on Sunday. Part of that was due to the poor play of Russell Wilson (finger) -- DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett were both shut down by Wilson's inaccuracy, and that probably funneled some usage toward Everett. He'll try to keep the momentum going against Arizona in Week 11.

Two touches in win
Everett caught one of two targets for seven yards and rushed once for minus-5 yards in Sunday's 31-7 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: Everett out-snapped Will Dissly 44-36 but failed to get involved much on offense. The 2017 second-round pick only produced 77 yards and a touchdown over three games even with Russell Wilson (finger) under center, so his lack of production lately likely isn't a factor of working with Geno Smith. Still, Wilson's possible Week 10 return would raise the ceiling of all Seattle pass-catchers.

Rings up 23 yards
Everett caught all three of his targets for 11 yards and rushed once for 12 yards in Monday's 13-10 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: The Seahawks leaned heavily on the ground game, rushing the ball 28 times compared to just 22 passing attempts, so Will Dissly out-snapped Everett 40-33 due to his superior blocking ability. However, Dissly didn't receive a target. Everett has now produced 13 receptions (15 targets) for 128 yards and a touchdown through five games.

Returns with 40 yards
Everett (reserve/COVID-19) returned to action Sunday, catching two passes (three targets) for 40 yards in a 23-20 loss to Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Everett returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list and finished second in total receiving yards for Seattle on a night during which Geno Smith struggled to move the ball downfield. Will Dissly (two catches, eight yards and a touchdown) wound up getting the lone receiving touchdown for Seattle, which is unfortunate for those who deployed Everett. It may be a rough go of things for the Seahawks' passing attack until Russell Wilson (finger) returns from IR, so there may be better options than Everett…read more

Doesn't meet protocols for return
Everett (illness) tested negative twice for COVID-19 in advance of Thursday's game against the Rams, but the results didn't come through in time for the NFL to approve him to play, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
Analysis: Everett needed to test negative twice 24 hours apart to be eligible for activation from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Apparently, he just missed out on doing so and will miss a second consecutive contest as a result. Everett will have plenty of time to get back on the active roster with the Seahawks' next outing not coming until Oct. 17 at Pittsburgh. In the meantime, Will Dissly is expected to pace the Seattle tight ends in snaps.

Everett wasn't activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list in advance of Thursday's game against the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: In Everett's continued absence, Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson are in line to head the Seahawks' tight-end corps. Neither of the two look like high-percentage fantasy options, however, after making a minimal impact in Seattle's Week 4 win over the 49ers.

Could return Thursday
Everett (illness) has a chance to play in Thursday's game against the Rams, but he'll need to test negative for COVID-19 on one more occasion before he's eligible for activation, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Everett was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list last Wednesday and missed Sunday's win over the 49ers. In his absence, Will Dissly played 82 percent of the offensive snaps and Colby Parkinson took 68 percent, though neither did much damage in the passing game. The Seahawks are tentatively expecting Everett back for Thursday, though his availability wasn't made official at the conclusion of Wednesday's practice.

Everett (illness) may be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list before Thursday's game against the Rams after returning a negative test Monday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. "At this point, we're saying there's a chance," coach Pete Carroll said. "We'll know more tomorrow."
Analysis: Everett landed on the COVID list last Wednesday after testing positive, but because he's vaccinated, he only needs to test negative again Tuesday to return to the active roster. Of course, if he doesn't, he'll have to do so Wednesday and Thursday to give himself a chance to suit up Week 5. Analysis: Everett landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday and was unable to produce back-to-back negative tests ahead of a Week 4 win over the 49ers. Not looking good for Sunday
Everett (illness) isn't likely to be available for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The tight end is on the reserve/COVID-19 list and reportedly hadn't registered a negative test as of Friday afternoon. He'll now need back-to-back negatives starting Saturday, which Carroll apparently considers unlikely. The Seahawks are expected to bring Colby Parkinson (foot) back from IR this week, but Will Dissly is the safer bet for snaps (and a few targets) if Everett doesn't end up playing. The Seahawks placed Everett (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Analysis: According to Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston, Everett tested positive for the virus, which may make it difficult for him to clear the necessary hurdles to suit up Sunday at San Francisco. Five catches against Vikings
Everett caught all five of his targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: After managing only three catches for 23 yards on four targets through his first two games as a Seahawk -- albeit with a touchdown -- Everett was more involved as a receiver in Minnesota. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are entrenched as Russell Wilson's top options, but the tight end could emerge as a reliable No. 3 target for Seattle. One catch Sunday
Everett caught one of two targets for three yards in Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: Everett logged 43 offensive snaps (80 percent) while fellow tight end Will Dissly finished with 26 snaps (48 percent). Dissly didn't receive a target, as Week 2 was the latest example of how difficult it is to trust a Seattle pass-catcher besides Tyler Lockett or DK Metcalf.

Snares TD in Seahawks debut
Everett caught both of his targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Everett caught a quick slant for a nine-yard touchdown on the second drive of the game. The former Ram wasn't targeted the rest of the day, while fellow tight end Will Dissly finished with three catches for 37 yards. The Seahawks lost two of their five wide receivers -- Dee Eskridge and Penny Hart -- to concussions in the season opener, so Everett may be counted on more in Week 2 against the Titans if neither player is cleared in time.

Everett brought in his only target for two yards in the Seahawks' 27-0 preseason win over the Chargers on Saturday night.
Analysis: The offseason acquisition saw minimal action come his way after not playing in the loss to the Raiders last Saturday. Still, Everett was brought in on a one-year $6 million contract to help account for the loss of the retired Greg Olsen. Analysis: Per Liz Matthews of USA Today, Carroll indicated that Everett has brought some added speed and route-running ability to the position the Seahawks have been lacking. Seattle signed Everett to a one-year contract Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Everett caught two of his three targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 20-9 loss to Seattle.
Analysis: It's been an underwhelming stretch for Everett, as he's caught just five of 11 targets for 50 yards over the past three games. Additionally, Week 17 doesn't look promising, either. Quarterback Jared Goff (thumb) underwent surgery Monday, and backup QB John Walford hasn't played a competitive game since the 2019 preseason. Proves health in second half
Everett caught two of his four targets for 28 yards during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Jets. He played 47 of 59 offensive snaps despite needing to be evaluated for a head injury and missing the end of the first half.
Analysis: It's probably best not to read too much into Everett's or the Rams' performance Sunday. The fourth-year tight end was off the field for a spell, and Los Angeles was upset at home as a 17.5-point favorite. However, Everett did nearly score a touchdown after taking a 16-yard reception to Seattle's 1-yard line. Running back Darrell Henderson scored on the next play. While Everett projects to remain involved in the passing attack, he's difficult to rely on in the majority of fantasy settings.

Targeted nine times in loss
Everett caught five of nine targets for 32 yards during Sunday's 28-17 loss to Miami. He played 52 of 95 offensive snaps.
Analysis: Everett didn't capitalize on his season-high nine targets Sunday, and in particular, his drop on third and five from the Miami 30-yard line late in the game was costly. He was also the target when Dolphins' safety Eric Rowe intercepted Los Angeles quarterback Jared Goff in the second quarter. It wasn't a strong showing from Everett, but the entire offense struggled to find a groove after its opening drive touchdown. It's also important to keep the target volume in context. Goff attempted a…read more

Back to full participation
Everett (illness) practiced fully Thursday, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Analysis: A day removed from missing practice due to illness, Everett was back in the saddle Thursday and even handled every rep. Meanwhile, position mate Tyler Higbee remained limited by a hand contusion, which sidelined him this past Monday against the Bears. If Higbee doesn't gain clearance to play Sunday in Miami, Everett again will be in line to be the Rams' primary TE after going for a 4-28-1 line on five targets Week 7.

Dealing with illness
Everett missed Wednesday's walk-through session due to an illness, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Analysis: It's always worrisome to see "illness" listed next to a player's name, but there's no indication Everett's is related to COVID-19. Still, the Rams' tight end situation will need to be watched closely this week with Tyler Higbee still tending to a painful hand contusion. While Higbee was sidelined for Monday's win over the Bears, Everett logged a season-best 76 percent of the offensive snaps en route to four catches (on five targets) for 28 yards and one touchdown.

Touchdown against Bears
Everett caught four of five targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 24-10 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Everett topped Los Angeles' depth chart at tight end with Tyler Higbee (hand) sidelined and capitalized with a 12-yard touchdown to close the third quarter. That marked Everett's first score of this season, and his five targets also set a new high for this year. It's worth noting that reserve tight end Johnny Mundt finished with three grabs for 47 yards Monday, but Everett still figures to benefit most should Higbee miss more time, with a Week 8 matchup in Miami next on the schedule.

In line for more work
Everett is slated to be the Rams' leading tight end Monday against the Bears with Tyler Higbee (hand) inactive, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Analysis: After being targeted a total of five times through the first four games of the campaign, Everett has received four targets in both of the past two contests. During that stretch, he accumulated seven catches for 117 yards and no touchdowns, so he'll be looking to build upon his recent success with an increased workload on tap. Behind Everett, Johnny Mundt and Brycen Hopkins are available for any TE reps that linger.

Held in check by 49ers
Everett caught three of four targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to San Francisco.
Analysis: While statistically this was an underwhelming showing after Everett recorded 90 receiving yards last week, the Los Angeles offense never found a rhythm in the first half, and Everett tied for second in targets with fellow tight end Tyler Higbee. Higbee had the better fantasy day with three catches for 57 yards and played 45 snaps compared Everett's 30, but the latter continues to be involved in the passing attack. Leads team in receiving yards
Everett secured all four targets for 90 yards in the Rams' 30-10 win over the Washington Football Team on Sunday.
Analysis: Everett was the surprising leader in receiving yards on the day for the Rams, with a 40-yard grab playing a key role in his tally. The fourth-year pro logged a season high in targets a week after seeing just one versus the Giants, so he'll look to follow this performance with another productive one in a Sunday night Week 6 road matchup against the 49ers.

Rushes one in
Everett caught his only target for 10 yards and scored a two-yard rushing touchdown during Sunday's 17-9 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Plus athleticism has always been Everett's calling card, and it wouldn't be surprising to see creative head coach Sean McVay continue finding ways to incorporate him into the offensive attack. Additionally, with Everett in the final year of his rookie contract, the Rams might also want to utilize him more before deciding how to approach his pending free agency. Catches both targets
Everett caught both of his targets for 34 yards during Sunday's 35-32 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: While his 34 receiving yards hardly moved the fantasy needle, both grabs showed off Everett's athleticism. He's talented and has the potential to be a solid fantasy contributor, but his target share will probably never provide enough opportunities as long as the Rams are healthy, and especially with fellow tight end Tyler Higbee clearly ahead of him on the depth chart. Mainly blocks against Philly
Everett played 30 offensive snaps but didn't receive a target and only ran eight routes during Sunday's 37-19 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: After missing practice time this week and being questionable ahead of Sunday's contest with a back injury, it wasn't surprising to see Everett have a quiet showing against the Eagles. However, after fellow tight end Tyler Higbee erupted for three touchdowns and caught all five of his targets Sunday, Everett's fantasy stock is probably trending even further in the wrong direction.

Ready to roll Week 2
Everett (back) is listed as active Sunday at Philadelphia, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Everett kicked off Week 2 preparations with a DNP on Wednesday, only to practice in a limited capacity Thursday and bump up to full Friday. Still, the Rams gave the tight end a questionable designation. Fortunately for Everett, he'll be out there Sunday, but his snap share again will be distant second to No. 1 TE Tyler Higbee. While playing 24 of 73 offensive plays in L.A.'s season-opening win against the Cowboys, Everett reeled in one of two targets for seven yards.

Listed as questionable, should play
Everett (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, but coach Sean McVay said he expects the tight end to play, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Everett suffered his injury in a Week 1 win over Dallas, catching one of two targets for seven yards on 33 percent snap share before he left the game. His role doesn't appear to offer much promise for fantasy purposes, but he still has value to the Rams for two-TE formations. Analysis: While he got the start Week 1 against the Cowboys, Everett played second fiddle to Tyler Higbee, earning 24 offensive snaps to the latter's 65 (out of 73 total). Everett incurred a back injury in the second half, though, so the breakdown of work is understandable. Back injury not 'significant'
Coach Sean McVay said the Rams emerged from Sunday's 20-17 win against the Cowboys with "no significant injuries," which includes Everett (back), Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Everett left the game in the second half with a back issue, which contained him to 24 of 73 of the team's snaps on offense (33 percent) and one catch (on two targets) for seven yards. The Rams received multiple calls inquiring about the availability of Everett, but the team declined to entertain them, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Everett is in the final year of his rookie contract, and while it's probably safe to say his tenure with the Rams has been a disappointment since being selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, there have been plenty of promising signs from the athletic tight end. Still valued by McVay
Coach Sean McVay believes he can do a better job utilizing Everett in the Rams offense, Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire reports. "Really, really excited about what Gerald Everett's going to do," McVay said Monday. "I think Tyler Higbee did a phenomenal job, but I think Gerald Everett's a guy that I've got to do a better job of utilizing his skill set because he's a difference-maker."
Analysis: Everett appeared on track for his long-awaited breakout as recently as early November, averaging 55.6 yards and 8.2 targets over a five-game stretch Weeks 5-10. He slowed down over the next couple games and then suffered a knee injury, opening the door for Tyler Higbee to go wild in December. Analysis: The third-year tight end appeared to be headed for a breakout campaign with 18 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns during Weeks 4 through 7, but then a wrist injury cut into his practice time and hurt his production. Analysis: It's been a disappointing campaign for Everett, and especially over the past few weeks. Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Everett (knee) is still considered "day-to-day," Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: McVay added that Everett is making progress in his recovery, but the coach noted that the third-year tight end is "not ready to get out there and practice" yet. Everett has missed two straight games while nursing a hyperextended knee and looks at risk of sitting out again Sunday in Dallas. Analysis: Everett has yet to practice since hyperextending his knee during a Week 12 loss to the Ravens. During Everett's absence in Sunday's win at Arizona, Tyler Higbee saw a season-high 91 percent of the offensive snaps, which he turned into a season-best stat line (7-107-1 on eight targets). Everett (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Arizona, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Everett hyperextended his knee during Monday's 45-6 loss to Baltimore, and while he was able to rejoin the contest, he was then held out of practice Wednesday through Friday. Analysis: Expected to play in spite of limited practice participation throughout Week 11 prep, Everett is available, along with fellow tight ends Tyler Higbee (knee) and Johnny Mundt (groin). Surprisingly, the Rams opted to hold out Robert Woods for an unknown reason, so two of the team's top three wide receivers -- also, Brandin Cooks (concussion) -- are sidelined. Big volume in loss to Steelers
Everett caught eight of 12 targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Once center Brian Allen left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury, the Rams' offense focused on quick passes to protect Jared Goff, and as a result Everett wound up leading the team in catches and targets, with both figures being season highs for the tight end. If the O-line is at less than full strength again next week, Everett could again be heavily involved against a Bears defense that's been fairly vulnerable to TEs this season.
